With the woods at the foot of Mt.Tarumae and the Onuma and Konuma Marshes,Nishiki Onuma Park attracts citizens throughout the year.
 Auto Resort Tomakomai is situated in the eastern part of the park covering an area of 45ha.
It has been developed as the base of a multiplex recreation area centering on the auto campsite,under the Auto Resort Network Plan proposed by the department then known sa Hokkaido Development Agency.
Making the best use of the nature at the foot of Mt.Tarumae,Auto Resort Tomakomai is striving to create a new outdoor life by providing a variety of activities and programs,including playing in the water,canoeing,and strolling in the woods.
